Job Type: Description:- The basic function of this position is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate all nursing activities for a specific area of a nursing unit in conjunction with the head nurse or charge nurse of the unit. Interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, family members,significant others, client facility staff, volunteers, physician office staff, Nurses 24/7 administrative staff, and other agency nursing personnel, supervisors, payroll and staffing personnel. Client facilities of varied sizes and available equipment. Duties may vary depending upon client facility policy. Nurses may be exposed to communicable diseases and may be assigned to patients in isolation. Nurses may be exposed to infectious waste including radioactive waste material from nuclear medicine. Will have working knowledge of universal precautions.
Job Type: Description:- Labor and Delivery Nurse also referred to as OB (obstetric) nurses, specializes in assisting the doctor in the care of pregnant woman and the delivery of babies. They are responsible for preparing delivery rooms, Prepping patients, Sterilizing and preparing instruments, caring for babies immediately after birth and explaining after birth care to parents. Labor delivery nurses work in birthing rooms as well as assist in OR during c sections. They are responsible for monitoring g the mother and baby through the birthing process and informing the doctor of progress and any complications. One or more year experience and Basic life support certification required.
