The LTC nurse needs to be organized and work well with axially staff and facilities manager to provide safe quality care at all times. The RNs role is to oversee patient care, monitor seriously ill residents as necessary, direct and supervise CNAs and LPNs, consult with resident physician on medications, treatments and care plans for patients. Must be educated in laws and regulations of long term health and possess knowledge of public health issues. One year or more recent long term health experience and BCLS experience required. These self-directed nurses ensure they follow doctor’s orders to start, monitor, and perform hemodialysis continuously. They vigilantly monitor the patient and equipment to ensure safe treatment. They have increased knowledge of kidney function and its effect on electrolytes working closely with the doctors and hemodialysis team. They also are responsible for education the patient and families on the procedure and giving emotional support. Hemodialysis can be performed in hospitals, supervised home settings or outpatient dialysis centers. One year Hemodialysis experience and BCLS required. ACLS preferred.

An Operating Room nurse is a member of a medical team of professionals working together to complete a successful surgical operation.
