Job Type: Description:- Infection Control Nurse retrieve referrals from all nursing units;collaborate with physicians, nurses and other members of the health team. Compile and report surveillance data regarding nosocomial and community-acquired infections in both patients and personnel. Analyze data to identify epidemiological variations and to assist in the development of appropriate measures of prevention and control. Document patient care activities to identify methods, techniques, equipment, or new products that may constitute a risk of originating or transmitting infection. Record and maintain statistical information concerning infections. Make rounds regularly for the purpose of infection surveillance; consult with nursing personnel on a real or potential infection.
