Job Type: Description:- The Emergency Room nurse functions under the supervision of the head nurse or charge nurse and provides total nursing care to patients. This involves assessing, planning, administering, evaluating the nursing care of assigned patients, administering all treatments and medications, and maintaining complete and accurate records of nursing assessments and nursing care. The Emergency Room nurse must possess expertise in recognizing other complications in the intensive care patient based on the patients disease process and work closely with physicians and other team members in implementing patient care. The nurse is responsible for operating all technological equipment utilized in the unit. The functions performed require judgment based upon the applications of scientific and nursing knowledge and are guided by the established philosophy and policies of the organization and the unit. The Emergency Room nurse shall have a comprehensive knowledge of emergency room nursing. Nurses should be trained for advanced, emergency and trauma nursing, Must demonstrate ability to use advanced physical assessment skills as well as specialized nursing knowledge to handle emergency situations utilizing specialized equipment, procedures and medications specific to injury or disease process.
Job Type: Description:- Pediatric Nurses are Registered Nurses that specialize in the care of infants, children and adolescents. Their specialized training allows them to provide young patients and their families with emotional support and medical care. The Pediatric nurse must be knowledgeable in common childhood diseases, conditions and developmental milestones. They assess, evaluate, make care plans, start IVs, obtain lab samples, and administer medication and vaccinations. They assist doctors in procedures. They educate and support child and family utilizing clear and concise documentation and communication. At least one year current experience required as well as BCLS and Pals certification.
